Do you have a passion for serving the Lord overseas while also making an impact in the United States?  Are you looking to gain more experience and training to launch you into your long-term calling in ministry?  Join the CFC Missionary Team.

We are a family of part and full-time missionaries dedicated to bringing breakthrough both here in the USA and overseas in the Nations.  As a team, we meet daily in the Seattle, Washington area to gather, seek the Lord, pray and worship, and minister in the local area.  These same teams head internationally on our short-term bush village mission trips.  In addition, we receive regular mentoring and equipping to grow in our faith, calling, and gifting.

HEART FOR THE NATIONS

WEEKLY OVERVIEW

The CFC Missionary Team meets at least weekly depending on a missionary's time commitment and usually daily for those more heavily involved.  We are a relationship-driven ministry and not program-centered.  That means we do not function like a school or a class with set start dates, weekly assigned topics, and curriculum.  We operate more like a team and a family, learning from one another by doing.

LOCAL MINISTRY

Strategic evangelism, prayer walks, teaching, and discipleship in the Seattle region.

PRAYER & WORSHIP

We are centered around the Lord’s Presence through regular prayer and worship to enjoy him and listen to what he’s saying.

INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY

We typically minister quarterly overseas in bush villages but also develop on-going teaching materials for Christian leaders internationally.  The planning and leadership for these trips is always happening.

TRAINING & MENTORING

We believe in mentoring and growing in our faith, regardless of how strong of a Christian you may be.  We provide 1-1 mentoring, training lessons on specific areas to equip you in your faith, and more importantly, real-world practice.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

Yes, just like a family, we share the so-called chores of the ministry.  We all bear the burden of various administrative tasks that CFC must do to function healthily.

FAQ

What types of international mission trips do you go on?

CFC’s focus internationally is to equip Christian leaders living in bush villages with teaching and training for them to flourish in their ministries. Within these communities, we also do door-to-door evangelism and even hold mass-evangelism events, such as crusades. We specifically go to areas where there is need and where few organizations operate.

What countries do you go to?

Because we focus on going to bush villages where there is need and where few organizations minister, we often minister in developing nations in Asia & Africa. Lately, we minister in various countries in East Africa and South & Southeast Asia.

How often do you travel internationally?

Depending on need and how well staffed we are, we prefer to travel at least quarterly.

Where are you based?

We are based in the Seattle, Washington, USA area (Redmond, WA specifically).

Where do I need to live?

You need to live in the Seattle region. If you only have a small, part-time commitment with CFC, you could theoretically live further out than Seattle as long as you could travel for your meetings.

Can I work a job and join CFC?

Yes! You would just need to come to a specific hourly commitment for serving with CFC. Your job should provide some degree of flexibility in traveling internationally when needed.

What is the hourly commitment per week?

Minimum 6 hours.

What about finances?

There is no compensation for serving with CFC. You either need to fundraise and/or support yourself with another type of income, such as a job. If you are accepted as a missionary with CFC, you can also apply to be authorized to fundraise through CFC so your donors can receive tax-deductible donations.

How would you describe your spirituality?

We are interdenominational and welcome a variety of ways for Christians to express themselves within our ministry. Because of what we do, we place an emphasis on having a culture centered around the Presence of God, being led by the Holy Spirit, and being dependent on him to move in power. You could say we are a charismatic ministry.

Are you connected to a church or denomination?

No. CFC is governed by a Board of Directors and guided by Advisors, who are all current or former pastors of churches in the Seattle area.

What is your “covering”?

Our “covering” is the Board of Directors and our Advisors.

What is your statement of faith?

You can find that link here.

I’m young in my faith, is this a good option for me?

I don’t think so. While we love to revisit the foundational truths of God’s Kingdom because they are so profound, there is an assumption that this foundation has already been laid to some extent in every missionary’s heart. There are many outstanding mission-focused discipleship courses around the world that you could consider joining and then coming to CFC afterwards.

I’m a very experienced minister or missionary, is this a good option for me?

Possibly! The question would be whether or not you are a good team member.
