WHO WE ARE

& what we do

TODAY THERE ARE MORE MISSIONARIES SERVING OVERSEAS THAN EVER BEFORE. WE BELIEVE IN CARING FOR THEIR NEEDS.

WHAT WE DO

We train, send, and pastor missionaries worldwide.  We have missionaries that train pastors, equip midwives, and others who have a business-as-missions focus.  We do not restrict missionaries to certain callings. We believe in caring for their needs.

WHERE WE GO

We support missionaries to go where they feel called.  We want to partner with you to see you minister where God is leading you.  We can connect you to existing CFC missionaries or with our partner churches around the world to help pioneer what God has put on your heart.

CFC currently has missionaries serving in:

our values
GOD'S PRESENCE
RELATIONSHIP
FAITH
EMOTIONAL HEALTH
Our team firmly believes in the power of prayer, worship, and God’s Word to encounter the Lord personally.
We love each other and enjoy being around each other.  We value a sense of emotional connection within our organization and across our ministries.
We are bent to trusting God radically, even if it doesn’t make sense.  While we believe in answering practical questions and not ignoring our circumstances, we know that we serve a God of miracles.  We are a faith-based organization.
We want to be not just strong spiritually, but strong emotionally.

HISTORY OF CFC

Continents For Christ (CFC) was officially launched in 2008 by Pastor Chris Ward, who is a current CFC missionary today.  After many years in law enforcement, Chris felt God call him to ministry.  He decided to go to Bible college at Seattle Bible College in Everett, WA.  After he finished his degree, Chris was a pastor in the Seattle area with a passion for reaching inner city youth and gangs in particular.  Out of nowhere, one evening in his apartment, Chris heard the audible voice of God twice.  He heard the name "Continents For Christ' and then proceeded to go to his office to write down the vision of ministry that God had suddenly given him.  From there, CFC began its journey.

CFC's early years were predominantly spent in rural East Africa, specifically in Uganda and Tanzania.  CFC became focused on impacting rural villages in Africa and Asia, specifically training village pastors who do not have Bible or ministry training.  As a ministry, our goal was to go to communities where other ministries do not go.  Over the years, CFC has also conducted many short-term ministry trips, crusades, Bible distribution programs, and other community development programs.  At one point, CFC even had a small Bible college in the Mwanza, Tanzania area.  Where CFC ministers has changed over the years.  Initially starting in East Africa, CFC has also ministered regularly in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.

In 2023, CFC officially broadened our mission beyond reaching villages and village pastors in the developing world.  While this is an important calling, we recognize that not everyone is called to this ministry, and we felt led to broaden our vision to incorporate other mission callings.  CFC is now predominantly focused on training, sending, and pastoring independent missionaries around the world.

OUR COVERING

CFC is an indepenent missions organzation, separate from any denomination.  We are governed by a Board of Directors and an Advisory Council composed of pastors and Christian leaders from the USA.
